Icahn: Motorola should consider monetizing patents

Motorola may start looking at ways to make more money from its patent portfolio, if investor Carl Icahn has his way. Icahn met with Motorola on Wednesday and Thursday this week to suggest that the company "should explore alternatives regarding its patent portfolio to enhance shareholder value," according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
